New: AEPS Interactive's Features
AEPS Interactive … Best practice made better
AEPS Interactive is a secure web-based assessment and evaluation tool that allows early childhood professionals to report OSEP outcomes and to corroborate eligibility without giving up meaningful assessment that guides programming. With AEPS Interactive, team members can systematically record and easily score, track, aggregate, archive and report on the results of the highly regarded AEPS. Powerful electronic reporting functions automatically transform AEPS findings into OSEP Child Indicators for the three mandated outcomes and onto the ECO Child Summary Form. Child data can be easily aggregated and exported in a wide range of formats to accommodate the needs of other systems.
AEPS Interactive allows professionals to focus on children, not paperwork. The highly customizable Child Observation Data Recording Form makes it easy for team members to efficiently assess children both individually and in groups and customize their own assessment activities. AEPS Interactive enhances family involvement and facilitates team collaboration by creating a central, accessible place for each child’s information. AEPS Interactive also enables staff to identify IFSP and IEP targets, generate profiles, status reports, and progress-over-time reports for individual children, classrooms, programs, and children served by specific team members.

Announcing... AEPS Interactive
We are delighted to announce the development of AEPS® Interactive, an online version of the bestselling Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children (AEPS®). We plan to unveil the new product at the 22nd Annual International Division for Early Childhood (DEC) conference in Little Rock, Arkansas, October 19-22, 2006.
Paul H. Brookes, President of Brookes Publishing states, “We are very excited to be taking the next step with our successful AEPS® product line. Our customers increasing demand for electronic reporting makes this the perfect time to launch an online version of AEPS®, particularly with the new OSEP [Office of Special Education] Child Outcomes reporting requirements.”
AEPS® has long been considered a necessary assessment system, “for every educator of infants and young children who longs for simple, straightforward and functional strategies,” according to Eva Horn, Professor of Special Education at the University of Kansas. AEPS® Interactive will allow users to measure children’s progress over time to meet accountability mandates, go online to simultaneously score groups of children, streamline report writing, and manage child data.
Detailed information about this exciting new product will be available in the coming months. Stay tuned!
