Congratulations to everyone who has completed the first step of the OSEP Early Childhood Outcomes reporting requirements! Now that you have your Time 1 "near entry" reports behind you, you can look ahead to Time 2. Take a look at our sample Time 1 AEPS OSEP reports and watch this space soon for a link to a mock-up of the "near exit" reports, which will show data for all 5 baskets of children required for Time 2 reporting due next February. For no extra charge, AEPSi subscribers will be able to request results reflecting raw scores, percentages, and/or the 7-point ECO Summary Form scale.

On the web site, you will learn how to use AEPSi to automatically generate OSEP child outcomes reporting, discover whether you can use AEPS to determine a child's eligibility for services in your state, and find out about new whole-group activities that enable AEPSi subscribers to assess up to six children at one time in everyday routines.

AEPS Interactive … Best practice made better

AEPS Interactive is a secure web-based assessment and evaluation tool that allows early childhood professionals to report OSEP outcomes and to corroborate eligibility without giving up meaningful assessment that guides programming. With AEPS Interactive, team members can systematically record and easily score, track, aggregate, archive and report on the results of the highly regarded AEPS. Powerful electronic reporting functions automatically transform AEPS findings into OSEP Child Indicators for the three mandated outcomes and onto the ECO Child Summary Form. Child data can be easily aggregated and exported in a wide range of formats to accommodate the needs of other systems.

AEPS Interactive allows professionals to focus on children, not paperwork. We are delighted to announce the development of AEPS® Interactive, an online version of the bestselling Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children (AEPS®). We plan to unveil the new product at the 22nd Annual International Division for Early Childhood (DEC) conference in Little Rock, Arkansas, October 19-22, 2006.
