Jana Crosby, M.Ed.
Jana Crosby, M.Ed., is the Reading/Literacy Specialist for the Nashville Area Association for the Education of Young Children and
United Way
of Metropolitan Nashville’s joint literacy project, Read to Succeed. With the NAAEYC/UWMN Read to Succeed project, Ms. Crosby teaches effective literacy strategies to early childhood educators, models in early childhood classrooms, and monitors both teacher and student progress. The ELLCO is in its second year of use with the Read to Succeed program. Prior to her current position, Ms. Crosby spent 3 years with the Martha O'Bryan Center in east Nashville where she helped develop RAP, the Reading Achievement Program. Ms. Crosby is a certified Reading Specialist. She holds a Master of Education in Reading and a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. She is certified in elementary and kindergarten education. Ms. Crosby has taught in a variety of classroom settings including an elementary resource room, a residential classroom setting, and an elementary gifted and talented program. |
