Francine Foster, M.A.

Francine Foster, M.A., is an educational consultant, providing professional development, mentor-coaching, instruction, and technical assistance to early childhood programs. During her long career, Ms. Foster has taught preschool through second grade, directed preschool, after-school, and summer programs, and tutored elementary school children. She served as a Mentor-Coach Specialist, assisting Head Start programs throughout New Mexico to implement developmentally appropriate early literacy practices and foster social-emotional competence. As a preschool teacher-director, Ms. Foster implemented an adult education program for a parent cooperative in California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Simmons College in Boston, her teaching credentials from Sonoma State University in California, and her Master of Arts in Elementary Education with an emphasis in early childhood from the University of New Mexico. Ms. Foster currently consults, teaches at the Santa Fe Community College, and is a Child Development Specialist and Visiting Artist at the Santa Fe Children's Museum.
