Jean Wixson Gowen, Ph.D.
Jean W. Gowen, Ph.D., served as Associate Director of the Family, Infant and Preschool Program in Morgantown, North Carolina, from 1987-1997. Before that she was Senior Researcher at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Director of the Children’s Center at the University of South Florida. Dr. Gowen has written articles on child neglect, infant–mother attachment, mother–child interaction, and symbolic play and has taught graduate courses in child development and early childhood programs. |
