Keith Hyatt, Ed.D.

Keith Hyatt, Ed.D., is an Assistant Professor of Special Education at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. Before working in higher education, Dr. Hyatt held several positions in the public schools which included: GED instructor in a migrant education program, special education teacher, school psychologist, behavioral interventionist, and elementary school principal. He earned his doctorate in special education with an emphasis in early childhood special education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Recent publications have been in the areas of curriculum-based assessment, the IEP, and assistive technology. Areas of interest include special education law, assessment, inclusion, and teacher preparation.
