Kathy Ward-Cameron, M.S.
Kathy Ward-Cameron, M.S., is an experienced early childhood coach, instructor and evaluator. Through the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Chicago Department of Human Services, Ms. Ward-Cameron is the evaluator of the Head Start Early Literacy and Youth Development Initiative, an early literacy program which teaches youth and parents to work side-by-side with teachers to enhance the early literacy skills and development of under-privileged young children. She also serves as the literacy mentor/coach and instructor for the Early Reading First program through the Ounce of Prevention Fund Head Start in Chicago. Ms. Ward-Cameron is an instructor of HeadsUp! Reading facilitators nationwide through the National Head Start Association and is the former Illinois state coordinator of HeadsUp! Reading. She is also a certified Head Start early literacy mentor/coaching specialist for the CIRCLE/STEP program. She holds a Master of Science in Child Care Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from East Carolina University. |
