Seminar Description
Teachers will learn the best ways to reduce the incidence of academic difficulties in the classroom. Dr. Mather emphasizes the importance of linking informal assessment to specific instructional recommendations. She presents a simple framework for explaining and understanding learning disabilities and behavioral problems. Using this model, educators can understand childrens unique learning styles, their strengths and weaknesses, and the types of problems that interfere with learning, behavior, and school achievement. Dr. Mather shows teachers how to use this understanding to select and apply effective interventions.
The seminar addresses
