Seminar Description

The speaker presents a proven plan for teaching phonemic awareness and letter sound correspondence to young children and provides teachers with tips and demonstrations for implementing the program easily and effectively in their classrooms. The seminar also provides an overview of pacing, lesson plans, grouping children, and correcting students’ mistakes. Participants will learn how the program’s guide, Road to the Code, is organized and will practice working through activities included in the book.
Bonus: Invite the speaker into your classroom! As a follow-up to the presentation, the speaker can stay for a second day and spend 15–20 minutes in interested participants’ classrooms to walk them through Road to the Code activities and support them in their work with their students.
