For early elementary school classrooms

Classroom Assessment Scoring System™ (CLASS™)With this K–3 version of the widely used CLASS™ tool, your school will have an accurate, reliable way to assess classrooms. For use with children in the first years of elementary school, the CLASS K–3 tool assesses teacher–student interactions, a primary ingredient of educational experiences that set students on the path to academic and social success.

This reliable and valid tool

  • establishes an accurate picture of classroom interactions through brief, repeated observation and scoring cycles
  • highlights areas of strength and areas for growth useful for guiding improvement efforts
  • provides important information related to your program’s most urgent needs: accountability, professional development, and research
