The TPRI® system guides teachers through every step of improving reading outcomes for all students:

Screen. Teachers start with a brief, reliable universal screener that identifies students at risk for reading difficulties. Screening one child at a time in just 2-3 minutes each, teachers administer a short series of child-friendly tasks and gather basic information about their students' literacy development in key areas. After administering the screener, teachers will easily see which students may be at risk for struggling with reading if they don't receive intervention. | The screening step is part of the TPRI® Benchmarking Kit

Diagnose. Once screening has identified children who may be at risk, teachers use the Inventory Section to conduct a more in-depth assessment of struggling students' skills in key areas. The Inventory diagnoses students' individual strengths and weaknesses so teachers have the data they need to tailor reading instruction effectively. | The diagnosis step is part of the TPRI® Benchmarking Kit

Intervene. Teachers then target instruction to their students' needs with the Intervention Activities Guide, which gives them hundreds of activities directly linked to the reading concepts and skills assessed with TPRI®. | The Intervention Activities Guide is sold separately

Monitor. With the brief, effective Progress Monitoring Assessments—one kit for emerging readers, one for beginning readers—teachers will monitor student progress in just a few minutes, so they'll spend less time assessing and more time teaching. Administered every 2-6 weeks, these assessments give teachers the critical data they need to see what's working and what adjustments are needed to improve struggling readers' outcomes. | Learn more about the Progress Monitoring Assessments, sold separately
