Nancy W. Lovett, Ph.D.

Nancy W. Lovett, Ph.D., is director of Calloway County Early Childhood Regional Training Center in Murray, Kentucky. The center works with 30 school districts in western Kentucky to improve and maintain their early childhood programs. On a yearly basis, Calloway RTC serves more than 5,000 early childhood professionals via professional development seminars and technical assistance visits.

Dr. Lovett is a recognized regional, state, national, and international speaker on effective educational programming. She has worked with Second Step: A Violence Prevention Program, the Kentucky Initiative for Social Skills and Emotional Development, Building Resilient Children (a statewide violence prevention project), the National Center on Family Literacy, and New Scripts for 21st Century Services: An Innovation Model for Support Change and Reform in Inter-Professional Preservice Training.

Dr. Lovett has degrees in educational administration and special education. She has worked with at-risk youths and their families for thirty years. Her extensive background focuses on components that promote positive child-valued outcomes. Dr. Lovett has also served as an adjunct professor at Murray State University.
